The much awaited next gen Suzuki Swift was launched last year in Japan and has now made its global appearance in the Geneva motor show 2017. This will be Fourth Gen of Swift internationally and Third Gen in India. This time Swift showcased a completely new look, different design, changed interior and a lot more.

The new generation of the car is based on HEARTECT platform which is lighter and more rigid as compared to the previous generations. This is the modified version of the B-platform of Baleno. This platform also makes the car more safer.

The design of the 2017 Swift is completely different from its predecessors and sports a younger look with newly designed sleeker LED headlamps. The side view gives an impression of the swift-like design, making sure that it is a new generation and not a new car altogether.

Suzuki is yet to reveal the power trains for the markets, but we expect the 1.0 litre turbocharged BoosterJet petrol, updated 1.2 litre K-Series petrol and 1.3 litre diesel as these are what Suzuki plays with. The Swift also has SHVS-Suzuki’s mild hybrid – which we expect on the Indian spec  as European market and Indian market get different Specs. It will also boost the 5-speed auto and manual transmissions.

The car is expected to be in the price range of 5-8 Lakhs and is expected to come in the Indian market in Q1 of 2018.
