American automaker, Ford Motor Co. has launched Omnicraft, its new brand to provide parts and services to vehicles made by its competitors.

Omnicraft is the first new Customer Service Division brand in 50 years and will allow dealerships to sell parts and offer services to all vehicles, thus, providing them an important growth opportunity.

Omnicraft will serve as a significant development in automobile industry, allowing Non-Ford customers access to Ford parts and services at a competitive price. Ford initially is offering 1500 most commonly requested parts such as oil filters, brake pads and rotors, struts, and starters and alternators, and the figure will eventually grow to 10,000 globally. At launch, Omnicraft parts will be available at Ford and Lincoln dealerships and will roll out to other Ford Authorized Distributors throughout 2017. Parts won’t be build by Ford themselves. It will work with suppliers to produce the parts.

The business of Omnicraft is estimated to be $500 billion and is expected to expand                                                            by 70% in the next six years.
